And if your baby doesn t drink all the formula in the bottle throw away the unused portion do not save it for later.
Warmed water should be tested in advance to make sure it is not too hot for an infant.
For healthy full term infants you can use water that has been boiled for 2 minutes and cooled to room temperature to prepare powdered infant formula.
Once mixed sprinkle a few drops on the inside of your wrist to make sure it is not too hot.
Use the formula right after making it.
No matter how your baby likes her formula always follow the manufacturer s preparation instructions.
If you make a bottle of formula and it s left out at room temperature for more than an hour toss it.

It s fine to give your baby room temperature or even cold formula.
If your baby prefers warm formula place a filled bottle in a bowl of warm water and let it stand for a few minutes or warm the bottle under running water.
