Unfortunately i had some problems with the mercedes a glow plug went out and i decided to have all six replaced at the same time and after 6 years the vehicle battery failed and i had them replace the rv batteries at the same time. Mercedes benz vehicles such as e c s ml gl r class are designed to automatically lock the doors as soon as you start to drive. Only way i know how. On those models the door lock actuators may fail causing the door lock to bounce up and down several times.

Lock works perfectly now.
